On October 26th, 1985, at 1:21 A.M., the very first time travel experiment was performed by Dr. Emmett L. Brown, assisted by his best friend Marty McFly and his dog Einstein (who, by going one minute into the future, became the world's first time traveler). After 30 years of experimentation, Doc had succeeded in modifying a 1981 DeLorean into a fully functional time machine. Doc, Marty, and the DeLorean went on to have many time-traveling adventures together, spanning a range of time from 1885 to 2015. The DeLorean proved to be a bit of a temperamental car at times, but it always came through in the end.

Then, on October 27th, 1985, at roughly 11:00 A.M., Marty returned from the time period of 1885 and found himself on the train tracks, facing down an fast-moving locomotive. Marty was able to escape the car in time, but the DeLorean --

Mysteriously vanished. Picked up by a rift in time and space mere seconds before impact, the time machine was brought to Chicago unharmed but deeply changed. And now what was once a machine is sentient.

And able to change into a little six-year-old girl. One who just wants her Daddy back.
